Our Team

Our Nurseries and Pre-Schools are staffed by experienced, dedicated and qualified professionals. As a team they are committed to creating a loving, happy and stimulating environment responding to the needs of the children in their care.

Each centre is run by a manager and deputy both with extensive experience of looking after children in a day care environment.

All our nursery nurses have a minimum Childcare Qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3. Nursery Assistants have, or are working towards NVQ Level 2. On-going staff training is an important feature at Rhymes and a number of staff have or are training for Degree Qualifications in Childcare. All our staff have food safety, Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications, as well as enhanced CRB disclosures.

Quality assured care

Rhymes Nursery has also committed to demonstrating the overall level of care we provide through nationally acknowledged accreditation schemes. We are pleased to announce that our accreditation as an Investor in People has recently been renewed across all our settings and that Martlesham Nursery has been awarded accreditation under the National Day Nurseries Quality Assurance Scheme – Quality Counts.

Communication

Staff will be available at the beginning or end of each day for informal chats about what your child has been doing during the day. Baby diaries are also used at Martlesham to pass daily messages about each child both to parents and from parents.

Parents evenings are held to enable parents to see our activities and discuss the daily routines with staff in a relaxed atmosphere.
