Nursery Qualifications
All nursery nurses are qualified to NNEB, B'Tec, NVQ Level 3 standard or above. Nursery Assistants are training to NVQ Level 2 or 3. All staff hold a Basic Food Hygiene qualification and our Training Officer makes sure staff are up to date with First Aid, Health & Safety and Child Protection training. The credentials of all employees fulfil the criteria laid down in the 'Children Act 1989'.

Out-of-School Qualifications
Play Leaders are qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Playwork or equivalent and Play Workers have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Playwork or are training towards these qualifications. As within the nurseries, all staff hold a Basic Food Hygiene qualification and our Training Officer makes sure staff are up to date with First Aid, Health & Safety and Child Protection training. The credentials of all employees fulfil the criteria laid down in the 'Children Act 1989'.

Key Workers
Each child, in all our settings, is assigned a key-worker who is the special person to whom they can relate. Each key-worker will ensure their children are secure and happy and will interact with them in a positive manner throughout the day.

Communications
Key-workers will be available at the beginning or end of each day for informal chats about sleep times, eating patterns etc. Daily diaries are also used to pass messages about each child both to parents and from parents.

Parents Evenings are held for the parents of nursery and pre-school children, to enable them to see our activities and discuss the daily routines with staff in a relaxed atmosphere.
