I hope you all enjoyed the December holiday clubs.

Below are some of the activities that are coming up in the February half term.

  • Beacon Hill are learning all about Dragons this week, swimming and a trip to the cinema
  • At Felixstowe There is a make over a day and a trip to the park
  • Broke Hall are having a visit from the vet and a trip to Baylham House Farm
  • Heath are going to the Cinema and doing lots of Valentine Day activities
  • Rose Hill are doing lots of Valentine cooking and a trip to Snakes and Ladders

Rhymes @ Beacon Hill Primary School
Our club is based in a friendly and homely atmosphere created in our own unit, situated in the grounds of the school.

The unit is equipped a large area for sand/water and art activities, a large carpet area for construction, games, puzzles and stories, and a small kitchen area for cooking activities. Outside, there is plenty of space for outdoor play and games. The club has wheelchair access.

Opening Times:
Breakfast Club: 7.30am to 9.00am
After School: 3.15pm to 6.00pm
Holiday Club: 7.30am to 6.00pm on weekdays throughout school holidays and half terms.

It meets the needs of the Early Years children well. There is good capacity for further improvement because the leadership and management teams have high aspirations and a clear picture of what needs to improve. Rhymes @ Broke Hall Primary School
Our club is situated in a purpose designed building, built to house our Out of School club and the school’s pre-school. A relatively new club, its popularity is growing fast, encouraged by the wide range of activities on offer and the excellent Rhymes Team.

Rhymes @ Gorseland
This club services both Gorseland and Birchwood Primary Schools.

Set in the grounds of Gorseland School, we have a brand new purpose built building. There is a large spacious room for the children to play in which can cater for a variety of activities as well as a separate kitchen facility from which we provide nutritional snacks. There a small outside area as well as the large school field for more physical games.

After School: 3.15pm to 6.00pm.

Children are very happy and relaxed at this fun and welcoming out of school club. Committed and competent staff work well as a team to offer a broad variety of play and learning experiences to support children's very good progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Rhymes @ Heath Primary School
Set in a brand new, purpose designed building, Rhymes @ Heath Primary School provides an exciting new environment for up to 40 children to enjoy top quality care.

This is a highly popular out of school facility, that has been operating at the school for over 10 years. Now in its new building, it offers the full range of Rhymes activities in the bright and airy interior and outside in its own play area and garden. During the holiday club, we also have the run of the extensive playing fields at Heath Primary School, so we are never short of space for adventurous play.

The children have free flow access to the garden area which now has a new decking area and raised beds for the children to plant flowers and vegetables.  Just outside the fenced area there is a new wild life garden to house bugs, hedgehogs and small wild life.

After School: 3.15pm to 6.00pm

Children settle well and actively become involved in a wide range of play activities while being well supported by a dedicated and knowledgeable staff team. Effective partnerships are in place with parents, carers and other agencies. Policies and procedures are largely effective and serve to protect the children well.

Rhymes @ Kesgrave

Cedar Wood After School Kesgrave after school

The scout building at Twelve Acre Approach, Kesgrave, provides Rhymes at Kesgrave with a tremendous facility for its breakfast and after school club. Children have a wide range of activities available to them in the spacious areas offered by the building. These include games, work and play on computers, arts and crafts, and quiet areas for reading. Children attend the club from Cedarwood Primary School, reaching it via a carefully supervised walking train.

Rhymes @ Kingsfleet
A walking train is run from Colneis and Kingsfleet Primary Schools to our Kingsfleet After School , we also pick up from local schools in the area.

We currently collect children from Causton, Maidstone and Fairfield, the children are collected in our Rhymes Zafira and taken back to Kingsfleet School.

Set in our brand new building on the grounds of Kingsfleet School we have a large play room and kitchen to prepare the childrens tea and do cooking activities with the children.  There is a small outside play area and a large school field for more physical play.

Opening Times:
After School: 3.00pm to 6.00pm.
Holiday Club: 8.00am to 6.00pm on weekdays throughout school holidays and half terms.

Rhymes @ Rose Hill Primary School
In 2009 the library and dining area at Rose Hill School was completely redesigned to house out of school facilities. The result is a bright, well equipped area that the children are thoroughly enjoying.

With the new facility, our activities are even wider than before and the new kitchen area makes it easy to provide a range of healthy hot meals and snacks, to keep children well looked after and active while they are at the club.
