After School, Breakfast and Holiday clubs
After School
Each club provides a varied range of activities, all geared towards the children’s own ideas and suggestions.
- An art and craft station is available at all times giving the children free use of a selection of materials and equipment, allowing them to be creative.
- Access to a computer for leisure or for homework.
- Games consoles.
- Free access to all our indoor play resources - board games, puzzles, books and construction toys.
- Opportunities for cooking.
- A quiet area for the children to read, do their homework or just to chill out.
- Weather permitting, plenty of outdoor games and pursuits.
Children are provided with a healthy light tea with daily variations including home made pizza, salad, and pasta dishes. The children’s own suggestions are incorporated where possible and they are also encouraged to get involved in meal preparation.

Breakfast Club
Open during term time, breakfast is served buffet-style allowing children a healthy choice of cereals, toast and fruit before being taken to school by a supervised escort. Our clubs help your child settle down and get them ready for the school day.
Holiday Clubs
Rhymes Holiday Clubs are all about fun, activity, exploration and friendship, all under the careful supervision of trained staff who look after their welfare and make sure that time at the clubs is both enjoyable and enriching.
At each club we offer a wide range of activities based around ‘activity fun stations’ which allow your child to choose what they want to do during the day – whether they feel like bouncing with physical activity, creative, playful or simply want a quiet moment to relax and read.
Examples include creative workshops, games, sports, drama, dance, cookery, music and culture, board games, arts & crafts, dance mat, karaoke, Nintendo and Wii and plenty of outdoor games, many led by a professional sports coach. Day trips are also organised to the local forest, bike rides, cinema and lots more.
Our Staff
Our staff are carefully selected for their ability to both care for and relate to children. They have fun looking after children, just as we aim to make sure all our children have fun too. All our settings have a play leader and play workers, all who have been CRB checked and hold a level 2 or 3 qualification in play work.
